Steve Liu is a veteran of the semiconductor industry with over 26 years of experience in corporate management, large scale manufacturing and business creation. He was President & CEO of Hua Hong NEC, the second largest silicon foundry in China. Prior to that, he was President of Peregrine Semiconductor Australia, Vice President and General Manager of Integrated Device Technology and Quality Semiconductor, after starting his career at Cypress Semiconductor in 1984. Steve received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
As former president of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Mr. Raza laid the foundation of AMD’s processor roadmap and brought the AMD-K6 and Athlon™ family of processor products to the market. He has been working in various engineering and management positions in Silicon Valley for the last 33 years.
Hal Zarem, President & CEO
Hal Zarem is a technology executive with extensive experience at leading semiconductor, optical component and MEMS companies. He was president and CEO of Silicon Light Machines (SLM) from 2003 to 2010. During this period SLM developed the OvationONS™ optical sensor (now a business unit at Cypress Semiconductor) and commercialized Grating Light Valve technology for use in computer-to-plate printing and direct write lithography. In 2008 SLM was purchased by Dainippon Screen. He has also held executive positions at Cypress Semiconductor, JDS Uniphase, mCube and Ortel Corporation. Dr. Zarem earned a B.A. in physics from the University of California Berkeley, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied physics from the California Institute of Technology.
Nitash P Balsara, Founder
Dr. Balsara is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley and a Faculty Scientist in the Materials Science Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. A world-expert in polymer materials, Dr. Balsara was the lead investigator in developing Seeo’s electrolyte technology. His strong vision is responsible for the creation of the company. Previously Dr. Balsara has held positions at the Brooklyn Polytechnic University, the University of Minnesota, and the Exxon Research and Engineering Company. He received a PhD from Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute, an MS from Clarkson University and a BTech from the India Institute of Technology at Kanpur.
